Basic Color Codes for Porsches


COLOR......FUNCTION ...............STRIPE COLOR

Green...... Lead from ignition coil to CD/points
Red......... Lead from batterie to fuse,alternator,ignition switch
............... lights and other always powered points
Black..... .. Lead from ignition to all switched power i.e. starter
Brown .... ..Ground all systems
Light Blue . Lead to accesories
Blue .........Instruments or tell-tale lights
White .......Lead to headlights
Yellow ......Lead to headlights(dipped beam)
Grey ........ Leads for marker lights etc.
Light Blue Oil Pressure Switch..............Gray stripes
Light Blue Tire Monitor ......................Yellow stripes
Black ....... Windshield Wiper ................Lilac stripes
Black ....... Brake Lights........................Red stripes
Black....... Horn ..................................Yellow stripes
