Misfires at 2000 RPM

A month or so ago I submitted a post requesting help for a problem with my '84 euro which had symptoms of what could be best described as "bucking". At revs of approx 1800-2100, at no or low load conditions, and especially in lower gears, the car would begin to start jerking back and forth. The only fix was to change gears and apply or remove gas. Well its fixed! And the fix was .... new plug wires! The reason I am revisiting this is because of the truly profound difference it made. This fix alone improved the ride by 90% (my torque tube might be somewhat sloppy too but that replacement won't need to be done for a long time). My recommendation, for the money, replace your plug wires if they are old. Its worth it. Of course my MY has the dual distributer caps (which is why it might have made the big difference that it did), but I'll stick to my recommendation. Many thanks to all that helped: Dave Cooly, Ken Postma, Steve Tucker, Tony Chubb.

Cheers,
Ron Beyerbach ('84 euro 5spd. ...gettin' better everyday!)
