Clicking Noise at Idle

Alfred:

Sounds like you have a sticking oil check valve. From the workshop manual - Volume 1, Chapter 17, page 10:

"The oil check valve prevents the oil from flowing back out of the cylinder head, thus assuring operation of the hydraulic valve tappets. If the valve tappets chatter as the engine turns over just after starting, it is essential to clean the check valve."

The clicking is caused by insufficient oil filling of the hydraulic lifter(s). The cylinder head cover must be removed to access this check valve, but removal and cleaning of the valve itself is relatively simple. This should correct your problem.
