Light Bulb ID Codes

I need some help from those more adept than I at reading the wiring diagrams in the service manual. In the '87 diagrams there is a circle with an X in it that denotes a lamp bulb and there is a reference such as K2 or K27 next to it. For the life of me I can't figure out how to decode these to determine which bulb it is.
Any help?
