Oh, my! Is that a can of worms.

I think Redline 75W90NS is the stuff to use if you do not have a limited slip differential. If you have LSD then 75W90 is the right thing to use. If you want to alter the behavior of your LSD then mixing 75W90NS into plain 75W90 will increase LSD lockup.

75W90NS really made a difference in my syncros. Made my '86 VW Golf a joy to shift too. So it went in the '83 928S's transmission after a fresh rebuild.

Just over 4 qts.

You'll want a 75W90 gear oil. For synthetic, try Redline or Amsoil. For dinosaur (conventional) oil, Swepco has been recommended.
